Whatever happened to Rick Remender? He vanished from all the books he was writing and isn't writing anything else... Did he finally pull the last straw and make fun of your hat?

Rick is still writing plenty of stuff, it’s simply all creator-owned, which is where he decided to apply himself for the time being.
But the hat thing is true too.
I think this is the general direction for A list creators these days. Hone your chops at the Big 2, while you build your fanbase.
After you have become established, go to Image, where you control your destiny, and take in the lion’s share of the profits. Remender, Hickman, Fraction, have gone this route.
I just hope they don’t all make fun of Brevoort’s hat.
Eric Stephenson won’t approve a new Image book until the writer and/or artist have made fun of Tom’s hat.
